Carla Payne is a Christian vocalist
specializing in Adult Contemporary and Inspirational music. In December
of 1995, her debut album, Every Secret Of My Heart, was released.
It was produced by Greg X Volz, former lead singer of the well-known
Christian band Petra. Carla's songs range from upbeat praise songs
to highly orchestrated ballads to simple acoustical arrangements.
Carla loves performing because it allows her to share her love for
the Lord with others through music and song.
"This is God's ministry for me. Through my singing
I can give praise and glory to the Lord because he's been so good
to me. I hope my voice will be an instrument through which God will
make a difference in people's lives."
 Carla
has been singing since she was a child and received formal voice training
for seven years. She graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in
1988 with a B.S. in Music Education. In 1994, she was a regional vocalist
winner for Praise Hymn Soundtracks' "Sing Out America" contest.
Carla lives in Morristown, Tennessee with her husband Ed, their son
Cameron, their daughter Caitlin, and their two cats: Twinkie and Stuffey.
